We produced "The Secret Garden" and this was the Garden reveal the audience saw when we go to the Garden. Many ooo's and aaaaah's were heard when the curtain opened showing this.

The photo depicts the moment the bodies of Romeo and Juliet are discovered. The design of the production was very stylised, with strong use of colour an important theme throughout.

This is a photograph from an MFA written and directed production of "The Sadness of Small Cakes" This play takes place somewhere in the space of time, and all three performers portray different parts of the same person. I had never used a color as bold as R2005 for top light, and it worked beautifully. Very pleased with the results and how it played well with skin tones.

This the ascension scene at the end of our show.
I chose the colors to highlight the fog/cloud effects, to convey the sky scene and emote the "awe" aspect the spectators at the actual ascension would have experienced.

These are my favorite photos from my high schools production of hairspray. I feel that these are very good representations of how a combination of color and directionality can (and does) result in a beautiful final product.

These were from a simple lighting design that I did a few months back, as part of my lighting design training for my technical theatre class at my high school. Due to the limited number of fixtures, I had to employ diffusion on many of the available instruments to create the washes I needed.
