This is a production photo from a production of "Spike Heels" by Theresa Rebeck at Texas Christian University. Director Claire Parker, Scenic Designer Brianna Bonilla, Lighting Designer Jim Rogers. For this design i chose R09, R52,R351,R43 and R16. Each light had R119 diffusion added. I chose these colors to convey a soft look in the apartment while allowing the characters some depth using variations of the warm and cool tones as front and rear lighting.

The Trip to Bountiful by Horton Foote produced by After School Productions. Director: Ben Vawter, Scenic/Lighting Designer: Samuel Vawter, Props Designer: Beth Chrisman. The majority of the lighting was washes of R#02 (Bastard Amber), R#53 (Pale Lavender) and R#384 (Midnight Blue). I used two 77138 (3x4 Window) steel gobos in the opening scene to create the look of an apartment at night, though I cannot seem to find a photo of it.

This particular scene was a dream sequence set in a cattle car on the way to a concentration camp. We wanted to convey the dismal mood of both emotional and physical sickness the people inside were to be feeling. Concentrating this color within a the rectangle of the car kept the space feeling confined and hopeless without using four actual walls.
