For the most part I used LED fixtures for the overhead lighting but mixed in with that I had several down/side lights with R83 gels. The musical I designed was Stage 1 Theatre (Newark, CA)'s production of "Beauty and the Beast Jr.". I used the fixtures with the R83 during the more fun, sad, and sincere scenes in the castle like "Human Again", "Home", and "Beauty and the Beast". This picture is at the end of the very well known song "Be Our Guest".

"Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson"
Buck's Rock Camp, July 2012
Directed by Jason Zimbler
Lighting Design by Alana Jacoby
Though I'm a big fan of color in general, I stuck to a very limited palette for this one: red was a must, considering how angry and bloody the show is, plus blue for some of the more emo numbers and plenty of no-color toplight and blinders to help create a rock concert feel added up to a nice patriotic color palette for this America-centric musical.
R27 was my heavy hitter for this show, and one of my all-time favorites!

Mukashi Mukashi: Asian Tales From Long Ago
Created and Directed by Louise Hung
Saint Louis University March 2013
Set Design by Justin Barisonek, Costume Design by Lou Bird, Lighting Design by Laurel Kassenbrock
This is a children's show that uses bright colors, music, and puppetry to tell some classical asian folk tales. The director wanted a warm look that was inviting but not too flashy, and R08 went very nicely with the bamboo tatami mates the floor was modeled after.
